HOPES is currently in need of volunteer preceptors. Preceptors are responsible for supervising students working at the Health Centre from their discipline and to provide guidance and support to all students working in the interprofessional team. Student Run Clinics are common in major cities across the country, and preceptors at other clinics have reported the experience to be very rewarding, as it allows practitioners to work with various populations in the community, provides an opportunity to act as a role model and mentor future health professionals, and allows for leadership, mentorship, and teaching experience.

As a preceptor, we ask for a volunteer commitment of at least 4 Sundays a term, either all in a row or spread over the course of the 13 week terms, whatever best suits your availability.

If you are interested in working as a volunteer preceptor, please contact me for more information.

We appreciate your consideration,

Hayley Lambord
